The past 2 years have been a difficult one for us.
While we are well aware of the devastation that COVID-19 has caused to many families and homes, the closing of the entertainment industry and general uncertainty of the nightclub industry has really affected what we do.
As of 6 am on the 22 of Jan 2022, the majority of Covid-19 public health restrictions will be removed by the Irish Government. This includes limits on household visits, early closing time for hospitality and events, capacity restrictions for indoor and outdoor events including weddings, social distancing, the rule-of-six at a table, the Covid pass system and the requirement to maintain contact details for close contact tracing. Which means WE CAN HOST EVENTS AGAIN!
We at Afropopcity welcome these changes and are ready move full steam ahead with our events to live out our mission for creating a community for afrobeat lovers.
